How To Play
Getting Started[edit | edit source]
After you create an account you will be greeted with a list of your current characters. This of course, is currently empty. Press the new button to create your first character!
From here you can choose your class and name your character. This is the name that will be displayed to other players in game. Your account name will not be displayed. You will also have to choose the prophecies you wish your character to start off with. When you're finished, click create to finish and return to the character menu. Select your new character and click play.
Controlling your Character[edit | edit source]
You will now find yourself in the world of Isleward. You are currently standing in the wonderful city of Strathford, and your character is displayed in the center of your screen. To move, simply left click a tile or used the WASD keys. When you designate a move, your path will be queued up, and the server will move you and other entities in turn, like a traditional roguelike.
Using Abilities[edit | edit source]
When you get the hang of moving around, try your hand at killing some monsters! Your abilities are displayed in the upper right hand corner of you screen. Pressing the corresponding key on your keyboard will trigger the ability. The default attack/ability is usually triggered with 1. To use your default attack, put your cursor near a Monster and press 1. Now when you come in range of the monster, you will automatically attack it!
Example: If you are a wizard, pressing 1 near a monster will make your wizard start firing magic missiles automatically at it.
Abilities will sometimes need a target to be aimed at. Simply hovering your cursor on or near a monster and pressing the corresponding key will use the ability.
Interface[edit | edit source]
What Now?[edit | edit source]
From here, you're free to do whatever you'd like! You could explore the world, do battle with vicious beasts, or just hang out in Strathford.
In order to become more powerful and take on greater challenges, you'll need gear. Most monsters have a chance to drop items, but experienced players often know which are the best to hunt. When in doubt, ask around or explore a new area!
